Job summary

Kautec Recruitment is seeking a self-motivated Field Service Engineer to service bespoke equipment. You will travel to client workshops across North London and Essex, performing maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on diverse HGV and specialty vehicles.

Applicants should be fully qualified Commercial Vehicle Technicians or have completed an authorised Apprenticeship, with a Class 2 Licence preferred. Benefits include 24 days holiday, pension and private healthcare.

Qualifications

• In addition to hands-on technical ability, you must be qualified as a Commercial Vehicle Technician or have completed an authorised Apprenticeship.
• Class 2 Licence would be beneficial to enable full field travel.
• You will travel to client workshops within the designated North London and Essex area.

Responsibilities

• Attend callouts and emergency breakdowns at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance on various heavy vehicle fleets.
• Carry out pre-arranged servicing at rural sites.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and carry out engine work and diagnostics.
• Carry out chassis and fabrication work as needed.
• Inspect and rectify hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems and wiring.
• Improve vehicle standards and ensure safe operating practices.

We are looking for a self motivated and independent Vehicle Engineer who can travel to our clients various workshops in a designated area providing:

Day shifts - no lates

In this role, no 2 days will ever be the same and the products that you work on will be diverse. HGV's, Ground SupportGSE, RORO (Roll on Roll Off), Fire and rescue, Tractors and Tugs plus other bespoke operating platforms.

We are looking for a self motivated and independent HGV Vehicle Engineer who can travel to our clients various workshops in a designated area providing:

• Callouts
• Preventative Maintenance
• Emergency Breakdowns
• Pre-arranged servicing at rural sites
• MOT Preparation
• Engine work and diagnostic investigations
• Correction of running defects
• Chassis and fabrication work
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Improvement of vehicle standards
• Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections

Your industry is moving faster with every day that passes. Electric & Hydrogen Vehicles are now part of the present and you will be trained on the newest products and repair techniques when required.

A Class 2 Licence would be beneficial.

You will need to be a fully qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician or have been accredited via an authorised Apprenticeship.
