Job summary

Dawsongroup EMC is seeking a Mobile Engineer to service and repair our specialist assets across the Bristol and South West region. This field-based role combines hands-on mechanical work with diagnostics, supporting customers to stay operational while you travel between sites.

You will diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic and gearbox faults on HGVs, plant and forklifts, carry out servicing and PMI inspections, and log electronic records for the service desk and engineering team.

Qualifications

• Practical experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and gearbox systems on HGVs, plant or forklifts.
• NVQ Level 3 Plant or HGV Technician qualification.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines with electrical troubleshooting.
• Confidence using diagnostic equipment and recording work electronically.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across specialist vehicles, plant and EMC equipment.
• Carry out servicing, PMI inspections and repairs as required.
• Use hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems to diagnose and rectify faults.
• Manage workload and vehicle stock while travelling to customer locations across Bristol and the South West.
• Complete electronic job records and work closely with the service desk, supervisors and wider engineering team.
