Job summary

Dawsongroup EMC is seeking a Mobile Engineer to service and repair our specialist assets in the field across environmental, municipal and civil sectors. You will diagnose and fix faults, perform servicing and PMI inspections, and manage your own workload with accurate electronic records.

The role requires hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and gearboxes in HGV, plant or forklift contexts, plus a relevant Plant/HGV qualification (NVQ3 preferred). A Class 2 HGV licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and gearbox systems on HGV/plant/forklift equipment.
• Recognised Plant or HGV Technician qualification; NVQ Level 3 identified in job spec.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and electrical systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and electronic systems to record work.
• Class 2 HGV licence desirable, not essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across EMC assets.
• Carry out servicing, PMI inspections, minor and major repairs.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults across hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel and electrical systems.
• Manage workload and vehicle stock; complete electronic job records accurately.
• Collaborate with service desk and colleagues with a safety-first approach.
