Job summary

Dawsongroup EMC is seeking an experienced Mobile HGV Engineer / Field Service Engineer to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in a varied fleet. You will perform maintenance, manage workloads, and maintain accurate electronic records in the field.

You will bring hands-on engineering experience with diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electrical troubleshooting. A Class 2 HGV licence is desirable but not essential, and you will receive training and development

Qualifications

Recognised Plant or HGV Technician qualification with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Practical electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Confidence using plant or fleet diagnostic equipment and good communication with colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across a varied fleet of specialist equipment.
Carry out planned maintenance, PMI inspections and both minor and major repairs.
Work safely at all times, following SHEQ procedures and completing risk assessments.
Complete accurate electronic job records using a PDA and keep reports up to date.
Manage your own workload and vehicle stock while coordinating with colleagues and our service desk.
