Job summary

Vertas is seeking a Mobile Caretaker to join our Facilities Team around the Buxton area. The role is 25 hours per week with shifts from 7am–7pm, Monday to Friday. You will oversee maintenance, cleaning, and ensure safety standards across the site.

Responsibilities include basic maintenance, checks of heating and lighting, cleaning during office hours or after hours, and keeping safety records. DBS and a full driving licence are essential, with opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Full clean manual driving licence required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Team player able to work across the Vertas Group.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs.
• Making sure that heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly.
• Carrying out and recording basic checks and maintaining Health and Safety records.
• Monitoring site stocks and undertaking cleaning duties.
• Demonstrating Health and Safety awareness and willingness to attend training courses.
• Cleaning may be required during office closed hours; use of cleaning machines as needed.
• PAT testing experience would be desirable.
• Painting, repairs and putting up notice boards as needed.
