Job summary

Veritas is seeking a Relief Mobile Caretaker to join our Facilities Team, covering the Ilkeston and Long Eaton area on a zero-hours contract. Typical hours are 7:00am-10:00am and 3:00pm-6:30pm, with travel time paid and mileage expenses reimbursed.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality cleaning and caretaking services to keep environments safe and welcoming. You will carry out maintenance, monitor systems, maintain records, and support Health and Safety training.

Qualifications

• Great customer service and communication skills in a caretaking or similar setting.
• Team player delivering excellent service across the organisation.
• Willingness to engage with health and safety training and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensure heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly.
• Carry out and record basic checks and maintain Health and Safety records.
• Monitor site stocks and undertake cleaning duties.
• Demonstrate Health and Safety awareness and attend training as required.
