Job summary

CSC Recruitment Ltd is hiring a Mobile Fabric Engineer in London to perform PPM and reactive maintenance, including carpentry, painting, and general fabric upkeep for heritage buildings. You will work with the maintenance team and independently to meet high standards.

The role requires at least 3 years of carpentry/painting experience, an NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or Painting, and a valid CSCS Card (Heritage Card desirable). Weekend/out-of-hours flexibility and a valid UK work right are expected.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in carpentry or painting/decorating.
• Heritage buildings experience is preferred.
• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or Painting required.
• CSCS Card is required; Heritage Card is highly desirable.
• Experience in other trades is advantageous.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends or out-of-hours and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Undertake carpentry, painting and general fabric maintenance.
• Identify and report faults and areas needing attention.
• Liaise professionally with clients, administrators and coordinators.
• Work independently and support the wider maintenance team.
• Ensure high-quality work within timelines and tidy sites.
• Complete paperwork and accurately record works undertaken.
• Report completed works and any additional issues found.
• Carry out other reasonable works as directed by management.
• Maintain a professional approach and deliver excellent customer service.

Salary: Competitive

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Hours: 40 hours per week

Overtime: Enhanced overtime rates available

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Fabric Engineer to join a well-established maintenance and building services business operating across London.

The Role

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance works.
• Undertaking carpentry, painting and general fabric maintenance.
• Identifying and reporting potential faults, defects and areas requiring attention.
• Liaising professionally with clients, administrators and coordinators.
• Working independently while also supporting the wider maintenance team.
• Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and within required timescales.
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy following completion.
• Completing relevant paperwork and accurately recording works undertaken.
• Reporting completed works and any additional issues identified.
• Carrying out other reasonable works as directed by management.
• Maintaining a professional approach and providing excellent customer service.

About You

• At least 3 years' experience in carpentry or painting/decorating.
• Experience working on heritage buildings.
• A relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification in either Carpentry or Painting.
• A valid CSCS Card, with a CSCS Heritage Card highly desirable.
• Experience across other trades would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and out-of-hours when required, with the right to work in the UK.
