Job summary

DK Recruitment is seeking a Mobile Fabric Engineer to deliver planned and reactive fabric maintenance across a portfolio of commercial buildings in Bristol. You will ensure sites stay safe, compliant and well-maintained while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include PPM, repairs across carpentry, plumbing, decorating, and general maintenance. A full UK driving licence and strong health & safety knowledge are essential, with opportunities for training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Fabric Engineer, Building Maintenance Engineer, Handyperson or Multiskilled Operative.
• Strong all-round building fabric maintenance skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs.
• Complete carpentry, plumbing, decorating and general building maintenance tasks.
• Repair doors, locks, ceilings, flooring, walls and windows.
• Undertake basic plumbing repairs, including taps, toilets and pipework.
• Carry out patch plastering, tiling and painting where required.
• Complete minor roofing and external building repairs.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company standards.
• Accurately complete job sheets and maintenance reports using handheld devices.
• Build positive relationships with clients and site representatives.

The Role
