Essential Employment is seeking an Estate Services- Mobile Floater Operative in Croydon. The role offers full-time hours on a temporary basis, paying £14.52 per hour. Key duties include cleaning communal areas, carrying out inspections, and responding to urgent tasks across multiple locations.

The successful candidate will drive a company van, travel between sites, and adhere to health and safety procedures. Prior experience in cleaning or facilities is required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in cleaning, caretaking, estate services, facilities, or environmental services.
• Ability to drive a company van and travel between multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general communal cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping surfaces.
• Undertake high-level and low-level cleaning of communal areas.
• Perform deep cleaning of communal spaces, entrances, stairwells, corridors, and shared facilities.
• Clean bin stores, refuse areas, and other external communal environments.
• Operate cleaning machinery and specialist equipment, including buffer and carpet-cleaning machines.
• Provide holiday and sickness cover across multiple locations as directed.
• Respond to ad hoc cleaning requests and urgent operational requirements.
• Complete assigned Risk Hub jobs and ensure all tasks are accurately updated and closed upon completion.
• Carry out basic site inspections and report repairs, health and safety concerns, vandalism, fly-tipping, or maintenance issues.
• Ensure cleaning supplies, equipment, and company vehicles are maintained in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Follow health and safety procedures, risk assessments, and safe working practices at all times.
• Deliver a professional and courteous service when interacting with residents, visitors, and colleagues.
