Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a healthcare portfolio in North London. This modern facility requires handling complex power distribution, lighting, emergency power and control systems.

You will be part of a skilled team, carry out preventive maintenance, respond to faults affecting operating theatres and labs, and supervise contractors. A Level 3 Electrical Installations and City & Guilds 18th Edition are preferred, with a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Electrical Installations required.
• City and Guilds 18th Edition certification preferred.
• Full Driving Licence essential.
• Experience in hospital or critical-care environments preferred.
• HV or LV knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hospital electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels, switch gear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Reporting to your line manager with any issues.
• Escorting sub-contractors around the site.
• Maintain and test emergency power systems, including generators, UPS units, and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
• Respond promptly to electrical faults that impact critical areas such as operating rooms, ICU, and labs.
• Reactive works on air handling units, fan coil units.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, outages, and repairs.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with hospital policies, national electrical codes, and healthcare facility regulations.
