Job summary

Project Start Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Remedial Electrician in the Swindon area to join a leading UK electrical safety services provider. You will work as part of a team carrying out remedial works for a range of clients, in 24-hour environments.

The role requires a strong knowledge of current electrical regulations, 18th edition, and NVQ Level 3, with good reporting skills; a company van and fuel card, 30 days holiday, and pension are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 electrical installation required.
• Commercial/Industrial experience preferred.
• C&G qualifications in electrical work.
• 18th Edition and 2391 testing desirable.

Responsibilities

• Extensive fault finding on single and three phase systems.
• Electrical testing and installation works.
• Carry out electrical repairs/minor works on LV installations.
• Order parts and equipment for tasks.
• Coordinate with supervisor for maintenance programmes.
• Maintain records and complete paperwork on time.

Job Purpose

Due to several large project wins they are looking to expand the business and are now seeking a Remedial Electrician to join their expanding team. The role involves working as part of a team to carry out Electrical Remedial Works for a range of clients. You should possess a good working knowledge of current electrical legislation, regulations and standards and have a proven track record of working in 24-hour operational environments. The role requires a person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good IT skills would be advantageous but are not essential, as training will be provided to produce legible, accurate and concise reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Extensive knowledge of single and three phase fault finding and 1st time fixes
• Good sound electrical knowledge, for testing and installation works
• To carry out electrical repairs / minor works on variety types of LV installations
• To assess and order parts and equipment necessary for individual tasks
• To liaise with the Remedials/Operations Supervisor for planned and routine maintenance programme and reporting procedures
• To maintain records of all work, and that required paperwork is completed and sent in within the defined timescales

• Electrical Installation (NVQ Level 3 / 236)
• Commercial/Industrial Experience
• C&G Qualifications
• AM2, IAF, PASMA (desirable)
• 18th Edition
• Test and Inspection 2391 (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence
