We are expanding our electrical division to meet the growing needs of our business. We are seeking a Mobile Electrician to join our team in the Bedford area.

This role involves installing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment across branches and customer sites in the south region, ensuring safety, professionalism, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess practical electrical engineering skills and relevant experience.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with participation in an on-call rota, which may vary based on business needs.

Applicants must hold an ECS Gold Card or possess the qualifications/experience necessary to obtain one.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical installation work in accordance with current I.E.E. Regulations and Construction Industry Safety Regulations.
• Maintain, install, service, and repair electrical/mechanical pump sets within the hire fleet and customer units, adhering to legislative standards.
• Produce reports and estimates for repairs and advise on safety issues as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in work areas and vehicles.
• Adhere to all Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Communicate effectively with managers, customers, and stakeholders regarding timelines, quality, and service levels.
• Work independently, managing own workload and call-outs.
• Attend call-outs as part of a rota, approximately once every six weeks.

Qualifications:

Essential: JIB Qualified Electrician and eligibility to obtain an ECS Gold Card. Preferred: 18th Edition.

Full UK driving license required (company van provided).
