ABM is seeking an electrically qualified engineer to join a mobile team covering reactive repairs, remedial works and PPM across the London Fire Brigade estate. You will diagnose faults, deliver safe electrical work, and ensure compliance with regulations.

You will manage schedules, perform testing and certification, and support emergency power resilience and lighting compliance. A full UK driving licence is required for site coverage.

Formación

• Level 3 electrical installation and maintenance qualification (City & Guilds 2360, 2330 or equivalent).
• Current 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification covering BS 7671 and amendments.
• Demonstrable competence in electrical fault diagnosis, inspection, testing and documentation.
• Understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations, safe isolation and risk assessment.
• PPM, reactive, and lifecycle electrical work experience per SFG20 guidance.
• Emergency lighting knowledge per BS 5266-1, BS EN 1838 and BS EN 50172.
• Inspection and testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent).
• Generator load testing and standby power experience.
• IPAF and PASMA or ability to obtain relevant certification.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work across the London Fire Brigade estate.
• Strong written and verbal communication for accurate records in a compliance-led environment.

Responsabilidades

• Attend and manage electrical reactive work including fault-finding, safe isolation, lock-off/tag-out and return to service.
• Carry out electrical PPM and remedial works in line with SFG20 and site risk assessments.
• Perform inspection and testing including insulation resistance, continuity and RCD testing with proper documentation.
• Complete Electrical Installation Certificates (EIC) and EICRs, and maintain records accurately.
• Maintain and test emergency lighting systems per BS 5266-1, EN 1838, EN 50172.
• Conduct generator load testing and assess standby power systems and changeover arrangements.
• Prepare engineer worksheets, technical reports and costed follow-on scopes.
• Obtain customer sign-off and submit all documentation for prompt job closure.
