Job summary

ABM is seeking an experienced mobile electrical technician to cover reactive repairs, remedial works and planned maintenance across the London Fire Brigade estate. You will diagnose faults, carry out safe testing, and deliver installations on low-voltage systems at multiple sites.

You will work within the Electricity at Work Regulations and BS 7671 standards, compiling certification and ensuring timely, auditable records. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 electrical installation and maintenance qualification is required.
• Current 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification or equivalent is required.
• Experience with fault diagnosis, inspection, testing, and certification documentation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Join a mobile team delivering reactive repairs, remedial works and PPM across London Fire Brigade estate.
• Diagnose faults, identify root causes and safely deliver repairs on low-voltage electrical systems and building services.
• Comply with Electricity at Work Regulations, Health and Safety at Work Act, IET BS 7671 and British Standards.
• Plan and prioritise work across reactive, remedial and PPM demand with efficient station coverage.
• Complete accurate documentation, quotations and reports for auditable and invoice-ready work.
• Support generator load testing, emergency power resilience and emergency lighting compliance.
• Identify asset risks and escalate defects affecting resilience or compliance.
