Job summary

EQUANS are seeking a Mobile Technical Operative (Electrical) for a HMCTS contract in Kingston upon Hull. This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours/week) offering a competitive salary and benefits.

The successful candidate will perform PPM and reactive electrical tasks across multiple sites, supervise subcontractors, and ensure safe working practices and documentation are up-to-date. Essential qualifications include a full UK driving licence, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical (or City & Guilds), 18th

Qualifications

• IPAF certification is preferred but not essential.
• PLASMA certification is preferred but not essential.
• Essential: Full Clean UK Driving Licence and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or City & Guilds Technical Certificate in Electrical.
• Essential: 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
• Essential: BPSS clearance and Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine Planned Preventative Measures (PPM) on electrical infrastructure and plant.
• Complete reactive tasks and identify improvements to equipment and systems.
• Rectify plant faults promptly to maintain in-service operation.
• Maintain up-to-date plant logs and CAFM records.
• Provide parts lists and timescales for remedial works.
• Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for safe work practices.
• Supervise on-site subcontractors and coordinate with the client.
• Support emergency situations to ensure business continuity.
