Job summary

Equans in London is seeking Mobile Technical Operatives - Electrical to support electrical maintenance services across a number of sites in London. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs, while ensuring all work is completed safely and to required standards.

The role requires 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3 Electrical, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical or equivalent qualification.
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience in electrical maintenance / building services.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• SC Clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment.
• Respond to reactive maintenance and electrical breakdowns.
• Fault find, diagnose and repair electrical issues.
• Complete electrical testing, inspections and remedial works.
• Ensure all work complies with BS7671 / 18th Edition.
• Complete maintenance records and update CAFM system.
• Prepare parts lists and provide estimated timescales for remedial works.
• Complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements before carrying out work.
• Support and supervise subcontractors when required.
• Assist with electrical shutdowns and switching schedules.
• Work safely and follow health & safety procedures.
• Use permits to work where required.
• Provide emergency and out-of-hours support as part of maintenance rota.
• Communicate with customers, colleagues and subcontractors.
• Report dangerous situations, accidents or near misses.
