Job summary

Gold Group is seeking a Mobile Technical Operative - Electrical Bias to support a large facilities management operation in Hull. The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance of electrical and mechanical building services with emphasis on electrical fault diagnosis and safe shutdown planning.

The ideal candidate will hold an electrical qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3), 18th Edition, and BPSS/CTC clearance where required, driving license, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical or equivalent.
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
• BPSS clearance is required for some sites.
• CTC suitability checks may apply for Royal Court of Justice site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical infrastructure and plant.
• Complete reactive tasks and highlight improvement opportunities.
• Rectify plant faults to keep equipment in serviceable order.
• Prepare spare parts lists and timescales for remedial works.
• Produce method statements and risk assessments for tasks.
• Liaise with staff, subcontractors and client representatives.
