Job summary

Gold Group is seeking a Mobile Technical Operative (Electrical Bias) in Swansea to perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical building services across commercial sites. You will diagnose faults, carry out electrical testing, and ensure compliance with H&S and CAFM documentation, with on-call duties.

You should hold an NVQ/C&G Level 3 in Electrical, 18th Edition, full UK driving licence, and a strong track record in building services maintenance.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge and compliance.
• Proven experience in building services maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence and good health & safety understanding.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical building services systems.
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repair works across commercial/industrial sites.
• Diagnose and repair faults on HVAC, pumps, motors, lighting, and power distribution.
• Undertake electrical testing, inspection, and minor installation works.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
• Complete accurate maintenance records and CAFM-based reports.
• Liaise professionally with clients and site representatives.
• Participate in an on-call rota and attend emergency callouts as required.
• Identify opportunities for system improvements and energy efficiency savings.
