Job summary

Veolia | UK is seeking a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Technician to service Industrial Utilities across Wigan, Preston and Manchester. The role carries a 43-hour week, with a £40,000 to £46,000 salary and a company van.

You will perform maintenance on steam boilers, air compressors, cooling towers and water treatment plants, with occasional on-call duties. Essential qualifications include a Time Served apprenticeship and proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with knowledge

Qualifications

Proven engineering background in Electrical/Mechanical industry with Time Served apprenticeship.
Experience with 110/240/415V fault finding and maintenance.
Knowledge of Steam Boiler plant operations.
Experience with calibration of industrial process instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain Industrial Utilities equipment including Steam Boilers, Air Compressors, Cooling Towers and Water Treatment Plants.
Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance on Electrical/Mechanical systems to meet PSSR and safety standards.
Carry out breakdowns and repairs on electrical, control and instrumentation systems.
Undertake project work including minor Electrical/Mechanical installations.
Maintain plant quality records and risk assessments; publish Safe Systems of Work and Permit to Work.
Support out-of-hours alarms from mobile sites via On-Call rota.
