Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking an experienced engineer for a mobile role covering Wigan, Preston, and Manchester. You will provide operation and maintenance support for Industrial Utilities equipment, complete Planned Preventative Maintenance, and perform necessary repairs and installations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical/mechanical background along with experience in Steam Boiler operations. The position offers a salary between £40,000 and £46,000, alongside benefits including a company van and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven engineering background in the Electrical and Mechanical industry with a recognised Time Served apprenticeship.
• Proactive approach to tasks and willingness to learn.
• Experience with Electrical and Mechanical fault finding and maintenance (110V, 240V, 415V).
• Knowledge of Steam Boiler plant operations.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance support on Industrial Utilities equipment.
• Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance activities on Electrical and Mechanical systems.
• Breakdown and repair in line with electrical, control and instrumentation works.
• Project work including minor Electrical/Mechanical installations.
• Maintain and publish plant quality records and reports.

Skills

Proven engineering background in Electrical and Mechanical industry

Proactive approach

Experience with Electrical and Mechanical fault finding

Knowledge of Steam Boiler plant operations
