Job summary

Wates is seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our mobile FM team, covering the Southeast region with a focus around Southampton and surrounding areas. You will carry out PPM and reactive electrical works across a varied portfolio of commercial contracts, and maintain strong client relationships.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, 18th Edition, a full UK driving licence, and a proactive, customer-focused approach with solid fault-finding skills.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition (BS7671) qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience working within a Facilities Management / Building Services environment.
• Knowledge of compliance, statutory regulations, and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults across commercial buildings.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Undertake testing, inspection, and certification where required.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
• Accurately complete job reports and documentation via digital systems.
