Job summary

WPS in the Southampton area is seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to join the mobile FM team, covering the Southeast region with focus around Southampton and surrounding areas. You will deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a varied portfolio of commercial contracts.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and 18th Edition, a full UK driving licence, and a proactive, customer-focused approach. DBS checks may be required at offer stage.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition (BS7671) qualification.
• Experience working within a Facilities Management / Building Services environment.
• Knowledge of compliance, statutory regulations, and safe systems of work.
• Full UK driving licence (essential for mobile role).
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults across commercial buildings
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and compliance standards
• Undertake testing, inspection, and certification where required
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships
• Accurately complete job reports and documentation via digital systems
• Work flexibly across multiple sites within the region
