Job summary

Hamilton Rowe Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to service and maintain electrical systems across multiple secure commercial sites in Cambridgeshire. The role covers PPM, reactive maintenance, fault finding, and building services support, with a company van and fuel card provided.

The position offers a Monday–Friday day shift (8:00–17:00) with a focus on safe, compliant operations, RAMS, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Electrical qualifications (2365 / 2330 / 2360 or equivalent).
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical PPM and reactive maintenance within agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Fault finding, diagnosis and repair of electrical systems and associated plant.
• Supporting general building services maintenance, including HVAC, mechanical and fabric-related tasks.
• Working across multiple commercial and secure sites throughout Cambridgeshire.
• Managing a mobile workload and prioritising reactive and planned maintenance requirements across the region.
• Issuing, controlling and managing Permits to Work where required.
• Monitoring subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely and to the required standard.
• Ensuring all plant, equipment and electrical systems operate efficiently and safely.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records, service reports and compliance documentation.
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety requirements, RAMS, COSHH and safe systems of work.
• Providing a professional, customer-focused service to clients and site users.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and supporting service innovation initiatives.
• Supporting the wider engineering team with technical knowledge and assistance when required.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering maintenance services across a portfolio of secure commercial properties throughout Cambridgeshire.

The Role
