Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Plumber to support a portfolio of sites across the Northwest of England.

The role covers both planned preventative maintenance and reactive plumbing works to keep building systems safe and compliant. You will carry out installations, repairs, and fault-finding on water and medical gas systems, ensure compliance with drawings, and assist across FM projects while driving between sites.

Qualifications

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing.
  • Experience in facilities management or building maintenance.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance, repairs, testing, installations, and fault-finding on plumbing and mechanical systems.
  • Install and maintain water and medical gas distribution systems where applicable.
  • Install new water pipework and fixtures, ensuring compliance with drawings and regulations.
  • Maintain waste and vent lines and clear blockages with appropriate tools.
  • Conduct safety inspections and maintenance on backflow prevention devices.
  • Support FM teams and contractors on plumbing projects.
  • Provide guidance to colleagues undertaking basic plumbing tasks.
  • Assist with general building maintenance and operation of building services.
  • Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and arrange additional support.
  • Carry out other duties to support contract and client needs.

Skills

About the Role

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is a leading global provider of integrated facilities management and corporate real estate services. We are currently seeking a Mobile Maintenance Plumber to support a portfolio of sites across the Northwest of England.

This is a mobile role responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive plumbing works, ensuring building systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, testing, installations, and fault-finding on plumbing and mechanical systems, including water and medical gas systems.
  • Install, repair, replace, test, and maintain water and medical gas supply and distribution systems, including valves, fixtures, outlets, and associated equipment.
  • Install new water and medical gas pipework and fixtures (where appropriately certified), ensuring all work complies with drawings, specifications, and current regulations.
  • Maintain and clear waste and vent lines using appropriate tools and equipment, including drain snakes, vacuum plungers, and jet washers.
  • Conduct plumbing safety inspections and perform planned maintenance on backflow prevention devices (where certified).
  • Support wider FM teams and contractors with plumbing-related projects and installations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues undertaking basic plumbing activities.
  • Assist with general building maintenance tasks and support the operation of building services systems as required.
  • Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and arrange additional support when necessary.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the contract and client needs.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential:

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Plumbing.
  • Previous experience within a facilities management, building maintenance, or commercial maintenance environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites with minimal supervision.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with medical gas systems.
  • Knowledge of compliance and safety regulations relating to plumbing and building services maintenance.
  • Experience working within a customer-focused environment.
