Job summary

Pareto FM is seeking an experienced Mobile Electrical Engineer to support a portfolio of sites across Greater London and the South East. The role covers commercial offices and residential properties, performing PPM, reactive maintenance and fault finding on electrical and related building services.

You will own your sites and workload, collaborating with the wider team and clients, with opportunities for development and progression within the business.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or equivalent.
  • Apprenticeship-trained electrical background or equivalent experience.
  • Around 5 years' relevant electrical maintenance experience.
  • Experience of both PPM and reactive maintenance.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of electrical systems within commercial buildings.
  • Awareness of ACOP L8 / Legionella control.
  • Confidence using CAFM, email and electronic reporting.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance across electrical systems.
  • Attend reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing faults and completing repairs.
  • Undertake electrical fault finding and remedial works.
  • Carry out minor electrical installations and associated works where required.
  • Support the maintenance of wider building services systems as appropriate.
  • Identify defects and additional works, escalating or reporting these where necessary.
  • Complete all maintenance records, job updates and reports accurately.
  • Use CAFM and other company systems to manage jobs and provide updates.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach when working on client sites.
  • Work effectively both independently and alongside the wider engineering team.
  • Participate in the 1-in-8 call-out rota, with a £200 standby payment.

Mobile Electrical Engineer – Building Services / FM

Location: Greater London & South East
Department: Mobile Engineering
Reporting to: Area Manager
Call-Out: 1 week in 8 | £200 standby payment

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team, supporting a portfolio of sites across Greater London and the South East.

This is a mobile role working across a mix of commercial offices and residential properties, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and fault finding across electrical and associated building services.

You’ll take ownership of your sites and workload while being supported by the wider engineering and operational team. It’s a great opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys variety, working across different environments and building strong relationships with clients.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across electrical systems and equipment.

  • Attend reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently.

  • Undertake electrical fault finding and remedial works.

  • Carry out minor electrical installations and associated works where required.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with a strong electrical maintenance background, ideally gained within facilities management, building services or commercial property.

You’ll need:

  • NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical discipline, or equivalent

  • Apprenticeship-trained electrical background or equivalent experience

  • Around 5 years' relevant electrical maintenance experience

  • Experience of both PPM and reactive maintenance

  • Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Good understanding of electrical systems within commercial buildings

  • Awareness of ACOP L8 / Legionella control

  • Confidence using IT systems including CAFM, email and electronic reporting

  • Strong communication and customer-service skills

  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites

  • Full UK driving licence

Call-Out

The role participates in an engineering call-out rota of approximately 1 week in every 8 weeks.

A £200 standby payment is paid for the call-out week, in addition to the standard package.
