Job Description:

As a Mobile Dispensing Optician, you will work across different stores within a defined geographical area to support our stores with cover when people are out of the business.

About the role

Our Mobile Dispensing Opticians play a key role in providing crucial clinical support in stores for regulated dispensing. You will work very closely with a Mobile Optometrist to ensure a seamless patient journey from chair to dispense. You will also:

1. Role model, lead, and deliver exceptional care, supporting patients and customers in making appropriate choices regarding optical and healthcare products and services.
2. Work flexibly across the opticians area according to business needs, continually developing your knowledge to serve patients and customers better.
3. Provide expert knowledge for patients with more specialized requirements.
4. Deliver comprehensive healthcare solutions and coach other team members.
5. Collaborate with Boots Healthcare teams to offer integrated health solutions.
6. Support the development, education, and training of colleagues and mentor students, including Student Dispensing Opticians.
7. Adhere to practice standards and Boots Opticians' clinical policies and procedures.
8. Assist in operational processes to ensure legal and safe trading.
9. Participate in store leadership meetings to maintain high clinical standards and patient safety.
10. Embrace and promote digital tools and solutions in customer interactions.

What you’ll need to have

• Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Optical experience and expertise.
• Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders including store and area leaders, peers, customers, and external professionals.
• High clinical standards.

• Motivation for continuous learning and completion of CET training.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the region.
