Job summary
Speedy Hire PLC is seeking a Crane Inspection Engineer to cover Wolverhampton and surrounding areas. You will carry out statutory inspections and thorough examinations of cranes, hoists and lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with LOLER and PUWER, and provide clear technical advice to customers.
The ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND / City & Guilds or equivalent, with strong lifting equipment knowledge, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work independently on a mobile
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Relevant industry experience with cranes, hoists and lifting equipment.
- Good understanding of LOLER and PUWER requirements.
- Experience carrying out inspections or maintenance within lifting industry.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out statutory inspections and thorough examinations of cranes, hoists and associated lifting equipment.
- Assessing equipment against LOLER, PUWER and relevant industry standards.
- Identifying defects and safety concerns and advising on remedial actions.
- Producing inspection reports and certification for customers.
- Managing workload across Wolverhampton and surrounding area.
- Maintaining high health, safety and technical compliance.
