Job summary

Lloyds British is seeking an Inspection Engineer in Wolverhampton to inspect lifting equipment, perform tests, and certify equipment for safe use. The role involves producing documentation and complying with standards, with training provided to support career development within the Speedy Group.

Ideal candidates will have a background in engineering or lifting equipment, with a focus on accuracy, problem solving, and client-facing communication. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in lifting equipment inspection or related engineering field.
• LEE A qualifications advantageous.
• NVQ/City & Guilds in Engineering desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and customer communication.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Inspect lifting equipment and accessories and carry out inspections.
• Perform load testing and pull testing as required.
• Complete equipment examinations and identify defects.
• Produce accurate inspection and certification documentation.
• Support testing activities including occasional destructive testing.
• Assist with rigging loft operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain high health, safety and quality standards.
