Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an Area Relief Officer to safeguard court sites across Worcester, Kidderminster and Hereford. You will manage access control, respond to incidents, and ensure a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. The role requires flexibility, a valid SIA Licence, driving licence and DBS clearance.

You’ll work 40 hours weekly, with daytime shifts, and may cover nearby sites. Training and progression opportunities are offered within Courts & Tribunals Service.

Qualifications

• Right to Work in the UK and able to pass enhanced DBS and BS7858 clearance.
• Valid SIA Licence and relevant security experience.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, reliable and detail-focused approach.
• Able to work across multiple locations and adapt to changing priorities.
• Good understanding of security procedures and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee access control and monitor activity across multiple sites.
• Respond to incidents and alarms; report actions accurately.
• Operate security equipment including CCTV, X-ray and detectors.
• Patrol public and restricted areas; maintain regular contact with control.
• Support safe movement of people and ensure professional service.
