Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an Area Relief Officer to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across multiple court and tribunal sites around High Wycombe. You will oversee access control, monitor activity, and respond to incidents on a 40-hour, Monday–Friday schedule.

This mobile role requires flexibility to support operational needs across sites within a defined radius, with day shifts only. You will work closely with colleagues and the Courts & Tribunals Service to uphold high

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK and be able to pass enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance.
• Valid SIA Licence with relevant security experience.
• Full UK driving licence and vehicle access.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, reliable and detail‑focused approach.
• Ability to work across multiple locations and adapt to changing priorities.
• Good understanding of security procedures and health & safety practices.
• Calm under pressure and respond effectively to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Flexibility to support multiple sites within a defined area.
• Provide a professional, welcoming and customer‑focused service to all court users.
• Control access to buildings, ensuring security procedures are followed at all times.
• Operate security equipment including CCTV, x-ray machines and handheld detectors.
• Conduct searches in line with site procedures.
• Patrol public and restricted areas, maintain communication with control points.
• Respond to alarms, incidents and security concerns promptly.
• Record and report all incidents and activities accurately.
• Support safe and secure movement of people within the building.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and compliance at all times.
