Job summary

Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Health Care Support Worker (Band 3) based at Devizes Health Centre to join the Community Outpatients Team. The role requires travel to multiple sites including Trowbridge, Melksham, Malmsbury and Savernake, with a valid UK driving licence and own transport.

You will work under supervision, providing fundamental care and assisting clinicians during outpatient consultations.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths & English at grade D or above or Level 1 functional skills in Literacy & Numeracy
• Level 2 QCF Diploma in Clinical Healthcare support or Level 2 NVQ in Healthcare Health & Social Care
• Able to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills at interview assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide fundamental care to patients under supervision within the outpatient department.
• Support patients, clinicians and colleagues during outpatient consultations.
• Follow care plans and risk assessments to maintain patient safety and care quality.
• Escort to other departments (except theatre) and assist with clinic preparation.
