Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Community Healthcare Assistant for Bournemouth North District Nursing service. You will visit patients in their own homes delivering clinical care and supporting the team with wound care and extended skills as trained.

A driving licence and access to a car are essential to travel between visits. The role is fixed-term with pre-employment checks including DBS; training will be provided for extended skills and insulin

Qualifications

• Experience in community clinical work is desirable but training will be provided.
• Access to a car with a valid driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients in their own homes providing clinical care.
• Provide wound care and phlebotomy.
• Develop extended skills under supervision (insulin administration, catheterisation, bowel care).
• Follow the care plan and document care accurately.
