Job summary

Sewell Group is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer based in the West and North Yorkshire region with travel to multiple sites across the North of England. The role includes planned and reactive gas, plumbing, and mechanical tasks, a company vehicle, and an on-call rota.

You will work 40 hours/week, with a salary of £20.59–£22.34 per hour and a bonus up to £2,400/year, plus extensive employee benefits. The ideal candidate will have gas qualifications, a full UK driving licence, and excellent

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license is essential.
• Domestic & commercial gas qualifications required.
• Proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Flexible to out-of-hours on-call rota and travel between sites.
• Health & safety knowledge essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out statutory and planned maintenance for commercial heating and plumbing systems.
• Respond to reactive tasks from Customer Care Team and maintain properties to high standards.
• Identify and report defects and maintenance requirements.
• Liaise with external contractors as needed.
• Assist with maintenance/repair quotations with accurate pricing.
• Communicate effectively with clients, facilities officers and management.
• Maintain safe, legally compliant work environment at all times.
• Participate in the on-call rota for emergency callouts.
