Job summary

The Commercial Gas Engineer role at Sewell Group involves carrying out planned and reactive gas, plumbing, and mechanical tasks across the Sewell Facilities Management portfolio. The position requires mobile work across sites in the North of England and Lincolnshire, with occasional on-call duties and a company vehicle, tablet and phone provided.

You will apply domestic and commercial gas qualifications, maintain boilers and heating systems, and ensure health and safety compliance while liaising

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license.
• Valid domestic & commercial gas qualifications.
• Positive and professional attitude.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
• Proactive approach towards maintenance.
• Excellent communication and contractor liaison.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Flexible for out-of-hours rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out statutory and planned maintenance for commercial heating and plumbing systems.
• Respond to reactive tasks allocated by our Customer Care Team, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard.
• Identification and reporting/repairing of defects and maintenance requirements.
• Liaise with external contractors as appropriate to meet the needs of the business.
• Assist with compiling information for maintenance and repair quotations, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
• Communicating information to the client, facilities officers and management as appropriate.
• Maintain a safe, legally compliant work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Participate in the on-call rota to address emergency callouts, providing reliable and timely responses.
