Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Site-Based Cleaning Operative to cover sites in the Leeds, Doncaster, and Sheffield area. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness across residential sites, supporting health and comfort for residents and staff. This role provides insight into working in a residential setting with vulnerable individuals.

We offer training, wage of £12.71 per hour for 40 hours per week, and benefits including mental health support and an Employee Assistance Programme.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar cleaning role is desirable, but training will be provided.
• Health and safety training will be provided.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Follow scheduled cleaning tasks with attention to detail.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning as instructed by supervisor.
• Clean and present kitchens, toilets and communal areas.
• Replenish stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and soap.
• Coordinate with security and report faults or hazards; maintain cleanliness of surrounding areas.
• Maintain an approachable attitude and work as part of the team.

Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaning Operative to join our team covering sites in the Leeds / Doncaster / Sheffield area.

In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, hygiene, and comfort of the residents and staff at each site.

Approved Premises play a key role in supporting individuals released from prison, offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community. This role will give you insight into working in a residential setting with vulnerable and complex individuals, providing meaningful work that supports positive change.

What you’ll do:

• Focus on the details and complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks
• Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas, instructed by supervisor
• Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets, communal areas are cleaned and are presentable
• Replenishing stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps
• You’ll work closely with the security team, reporting any faults or hazards.. whilst also helping maintain the cleanliness of their areas too!
• This role requires you to have an approachable attitude

What you bring:

• Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses is desirable, but not essential- our great training will ensure you are fully trained in all areas of health and safety!
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Can work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed
• Be a team player and take instruction
