Job summary

Sodexo Ltd is seeking a Site-Based Cleaning Operative at Poplar House, Poplar Bank, Huyton, Liverpool L36 9US. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness across the site, contributing to the health and comfort of residents and staff.

The role supports Approved Premises with enhanced supervision and rehabilitation, offering meaningful work within a residential setting. Training provided; the position is part-time with set hours.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable, training provided.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to work at a fast pace and adapt to change.
• Be a team player and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Focus on the details and complete scheduled cleaning tasks.
• Conduct periodic deep cleaning as instructed by the supervisor.
• Ensure kitchens, toilets and communal areas are cleaned and presentable.
• Replenish stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps.
• Work closely with security to report faults or hazards and help maintain cleanliness of their areas.
• Maintain an approachable attitude at all times.

Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaning Operative to join our team at Poplar House, Poplar Bank, Huyton, Liverpool L36 9US. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, hygiene, and comfort of the residents and staff at each site.

Approved Premises play a key role in supporting individuals released from prison, offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community. This role will give you insight into working in a residential setting with vulnerable and complex individuals, providing meaningful work that supports positive change.

What you’ll do:

• Focus on the details and complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks
• Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas, as instructed by the supervisor
• Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets, and communal areas, are cleaned and are presentable
• Replenishing stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps
• You'll work closely with the security team, reporting any faults or hazards whilst also helping maintain the cleanliness of their areas too!
• This role requires you to have an approachable attitude

What you bring:

• Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses, is desirable, but not essential- our great training will ensure you are fully trained in all areas of health and safety!

• Be a team player and take instructions
