Job summary

Equans is seeking a Mobile Chiller/Air Conditioning Engineer to cover the North West of England. You will install, commission, service and maintain chiller plants, VRF/DX systems and split-type AC in commercial, industrial and high-end residential environments.

The role includes an on-call rota and travel between sites with a company vehicle and benefits. We ask for proven VRF/DX experience, F-Gas certification, and City & Guilds Refrigeration & AC qualifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with VRF/DX systems, chillers, and split AC installations.
• City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent).
• F-Gas Category 1 (2079) certification.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Electrical qualification (18th Edition) (Desirable).
• Experience with BMS integration (Desirable).
• Manufacturer training on major VRF brands (Desirable).
• DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists check required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
• Fault-find and rectify breakdowns efficiently and to a high standard.
• Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Work in compliance with F-Gas regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and health & safety requirements.
• Prepare accurate job sheets and service reports.
• Liaise with clients and site managers to provide updates and technical advice.
• Travel to multiple sites across the North West.
• Attend site in response to breakdowns or failures outside normal hours (on-call rota).

Job description

Overview Equans is looking for a Mobile Chiller/Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team working across the North West of England. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 40 hours per week. There is also an on-call rota. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Air Conditioning Engineer with a strong background in chiller systems, VRF/DX systems, and split-type air conditioning installations. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of a range of HVAC equipment in commercial, industrial, and high-end residential environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service, and maintain chiller plant, VRF/DX systems, and split-type air conditioning units
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
