Job summary

Fife Council is recruiting a Mobile Cook to work across various locations in Fife, based at Lindsay House, Lumphinnans. The 30-hour-per-week permanent role involves cooking, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring HACCP compliance while catering for residents in care homes.

The role requires catering experience or an SVQ/City & Guilds, a good understanding of dietary needs, and the ability to work as part of a team. PVG checks and induction training are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Catering experience or a SVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent is essential.
• Knowledge of HACCP procedures and ability to complete paperwork (electronic returns).
• Understanding dietary and nutritional needs of residents in a care home.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organise food service and supervise kitchen activities.
• Supervise staff working in the kitchen.
• Transport and serve meals as required and assist with cleaning and setting up equipment.
• Complete basic bookwork and electronic returns as required.
