Job summary

Fife Council in Glenrothes is seeking a Catering Supervisor to manage all kitchen activity and the surrounding dining areas. The role involves cooking, supervising staff, and ensuring HACCP procedures are followed in a busy catering environment.

Training on in-house systems will be provided, with an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate essential after start. The position is temporary (1 year maternity cover), full-time, on-site in Glenrothes, with a pro-rata salary of £26,786.83–£29,170.80 and

Qualifications

• As a Catering Supervisor you will manage kitchen activities, cooking, serving and maintaining cleanliness.
• You should be aware of HACCP procedures and ensure required paperwork is completed.
• Training on in-house systems will be provided; intermediate food hygiene certificate essential after appointment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations and food service for visitors.
• Supervise staff and coordinate duties in a busy catering environment.
• Prepare and serve meals, snacks and drinks and handle payments.
• Maintain hygiene and records in line with HACCP requirements.
