Job summary

The Education Authority in Armagh is recruiting a Catering Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the kitchen serving schools in the Portadown/Craigavon area. You will manage a catering team, organise meal production, and ensure high standards of food safety and service delivery to pupils and staff.

The role requires knowledge of HACCP, allergen management, stock and budget control, and the ability to promote the catering service to parents and school staff.

Qualifications

• Hold NVQ level 2 in food preparation and cooking or City & Guilds 706-1 & 706-2 or equivalent or higher relevant qualification.
• Demonstrable experience in stock control, budget management and financial controls.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day kitchen management for school meals.
• Organise and supervise all aspects of food service including dining centres and transport if required.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and allergen management and maintain allergen matrix.
