Job summary

Vertas is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our Catering team at Harrold Odell Country Park, Bedford. This role is 18 hours per week, 8:30am to 2:30pm on alternating weeks, Thursday and Friday then Wednesday to Saturday on the following week, including bank holidays.

You will prepare and serve high-quality food meeting our standards for our customers. The ideal candidate has proven chef experience in contract catering, knowledge of cooking methods, strong teamwork and communication, and a Level 2

Qualifications

• Proven chef experience, ideally in contract catering.
• Knowledge of cooking methods and processes under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and ensuring dishes meet site standards.
• Cooking and serving while managing your station.
• Adhering to safety and hygiene practices with equipment and storage.
• Stock management and restocking ingredients as needed.
• Collaborating with the culinary team to maintain quality and service.
