Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Ely, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a Mobile Caretaker to join our double-up team providing cleaning services and caretaking across our Sanctuary Independent Living and General Needs housing sites. There will be lone-working and a company vehicle for business use.

The role includes cleaning, basic maintenance, risk assessments and stock control, with a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am–15:30pm. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Competent numeracy and literacy.
• Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks.
• Experience working to deadlines and prioritising workloads.
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and COSHH guidelines.
• Good communication, interpersonal and customer care skills.
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• General cleaning (kitchens, shower rooms, bathrooms; vacuuming, dusting, mopping).
• Caretaking tasks as required (jetting, bulky uplifts, compliance testing).
• Carry out risk assessments to identify and report maintenance issues.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and used in line with policies.
• Ensure all supplies and stocks are ordered, maintained and stored appropriately.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external customers and respond to complaints and delays.
