Job summary

Equans is seeking a Mobile Caretaker to support multiple sites across the Barnsley area. This permanent, full-time role covers general site management, maintenance tasks, porterage, security, and reception duties, with a company van provided.

The successful candidate will hold a full UK driving licence, have trade experience, deliver excellent customer service, and be willing to undergo DBS clearance as required.

Equans is looking for a Mobile Caretaker to join the team covering multiple sites across the Barnsley Area. This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £25,759.50 per annum and benefits package. Shift times: Monday - Friday 07:00 till 15:30.

What will you deliver?

• The role covers all aspects of general site management including litter picking, planned and reactive building maintenance, porterage, security, reception and being a key link between EQUANS and the school.
• Occasional overtime may be required in order to deliver the services we are contractually obliged to provide.
• The role is required to be flexible and adapt to company requirements.
• As a Mobile Caretaker on the Barnsley contract, you will be required to cover any of our thirteen schools, either temporarily or long term.
• When you are not covering sites, you will be required to carry out/assist with general maintenance and small works tasks that arise.
• This position comes with a company van.

Who are we looking for?

• A Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience required in a trade or similar role
• To have excellent customer service skills

• Able to use own initiative
• For this role you must undergo A DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential
• This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check (support will be provided during the process)
