Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Peripatetic Care Assistant to deliver warm, empathetic care across a 20-mile radius of our care homes. You must hold a UK driving license and have access to a car.

You will monitor care delivery, contribute to care planning, and record observations such as temperature and blood pressure. The role also involves providing companionship and meaningful one-to-one time with residents.

Qualifications

• Background in care and understanding of elderly care.
• Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care preferred.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.
• Must have access to a car or own vehicle.
• Must hold a UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the delivery of care when on duty.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning for each resident.
• Record observations such as temperature and blood pressure.
• Provide support and companionship to residents.
• Deliver meaningful one-to-one time with residents.
