Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Peripatetic Care Assistant to provide warm, empathetic care across a 20‑mile radius, monitoring care delivery and contributing to personalised care plans while recording vital observations and offering companionship.

Travel is required; you should have access to a car or be able to use public transport. A background in care and understanding of elderly care, plus Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care or GCSEs in English and Maths, are valued.

Qualifications

• Background in care and understanding of elderly care.
• Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care is useful.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor delivery of care on duty.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning for residents.
• Record observations (temperature, blood pressure) and other tasks.
• Provide support and companionship to residents.
