Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Peripatetic Care Assistant to provide warm, empathetic care across a 20‑mile radius. You will monitor care delivery on duty, contribute to person‑centred care planning, and record observations such as temperature and blood pressure, while delivering meaningful one‑to‑one support to residents.

A care background helps; GCSE English/Maths C or above and a Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care are useful. You’ll need access to a car to travel between homes.

Qualifications

• Background in care with understanding of elderly care.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or higher.
• Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care is useful.
• Must have access to a car for travel between homes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor delivery of care on duty and support residents.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning for each resident.
• Record observations (temperature, blood pressure) and other vitals.
• Provide companionship and one-to-one support to residents.
