Job summary

Barchester Care Homes is seeking a Peripatetic Care Assistant to deliver warm, empathetic care across a 20‑mile radius. You’ll monitor care delivery, contribute to person‑centred care plans and record observations such as temperature and blood pressure during shifts.

This full‑time role (36 hours) offers meaningful one‑to‑one support and travel between homes, with mileage covered beyond five miles from your main home.

Qualifications

• Background in care is important.
• Able to communicate with residents and families.
• Good understanding of elderly care.
• Driving licence or access to a car for travel between homes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, empathetic care across a 20‑mile radius.
• Monitor care delivery and contribute to care plans.
• Record observations (temperature, blood pressure, etc.).
• Provide companionship and meaningful one‑to‑one time with residents.
