Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Limited is seeking a Mobile Building Services Engineer with an electrical bias to cover sites across Scotland and the North of England. The role includes PPM and reactive maintenance on building services systems to keep facilities safe, compliant and fully operational.

You will work in a varied mobile role, liaising with site contacts and client representatives, with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Electrical bias and broad building services knowledge.
• FM/BS experience in commercial environments is preferred.
• Strong electrical maintenance background.
• Experience performing PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Mechanical/building services systems understanding.
• Ability to work independently with a varied workload.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional approach on client premises.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• City & Guilds/NVQ 2 or 3 in Electrical Eng. credentials.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing or general maintenance.
• IPAF and PASMA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules and client requirements.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests and diagnose faults efficiently.
• Perform electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs in commercial buildings.
• Carry out general building services and mechanical maintenance.
• Maintain HVAC, heating and ventilation systems across sites.
• Undertake minor installation and repair works as required.
• Carry out lighting, emergency lighting and basic electrical works.
• Inspect plant and equipment to identify potential issues.
• Support compliance with health & safety legislation and standards.
• Complete maintenance records, job sheets and reports using required systems.
• Liaise professionally with site contacts, colleagues, contractors and the client.
• Respond to occasional out-of-hours or emergency requirements.
• Maintain high standard of customer service in occupied environments.
