Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a MMIC Layout Engineer to join a leading UK-based semiconductor client in County Durham. A British passport is required for security clearance.

You will provide technical expertise to the Process and Product Engineering Departments in generating IC and mask reticle designs for internal and external customers, with opportunities for career development as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Physics/Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• Familiarity with CAD layout tools such as KLayout, NAZCA-Design or similar.
• Excellent mathematical skills and team ethic.

Responsibilities

Working as part of an experienced team, the MMIC Layout Engineer will provide technical expertise to the Process and Product Engineering Departments in the generation of IC and Mask Reticle Designs for internal and external customers. Responsibilities

• Providing layout support
• Liaising with IC mask manufacturers, customers, engineers and programme managers to ensure reticle development is carried out in an efficient and timely manner to support timescales and objectives
• Taking part in design and mask release reviews in respect to layout support

Suitable candidates

• A qualification in Physics/Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
• Familiarity with running CAD Engineering Layout Software such as KLayout, Ledit, NAZCA-Design or similar
• Excellent mathematical skills
• A great team work ethic and enthusiasm to learn
