Job summary

IC Resources is seeking an experienced PIC Layout Engineer to join a leading photonics team in Oxford. You will design and prepare photonic integrated circuit layouts and fabrication masks, working closely with foundries to ensure manufacturability and yield.

Key experience includes PIC layout, GDSII/GDSFactory, KLayout, mask-set preparation, and Python automation. Strong understanding of design rules and fabrication constraints is essential, with beneficial experience in foundry collaboration.

Qualifications

• PIC / photonic integrated circuit layout experience.
• GDSII generation, editing and verification.
• Mask layout and mask-set preparation for photonic fabrication.
• Strong understanding of design rules and fabrication constraints.
• Python scripting and layout automation.
• Experience with foundries and fabrication processes is a plus.
